Layton Tamberlin is a corporate financier and entrepreneur whose business activities through Sullivan Street Partners include advising on the acquisition of Taylor Continental Group from ECI Partners.

Following graduation from Keble College, Oxford, Mr. Tamberlin started his career in investment banking with Merrill Lynch as an associate in the areas of leveraged finance and M&A. During this time, he was involved in the initial public offerings of several companies, as well as a number of significant acquisitions. In 2002 Mr. Tamberlin became a director at TDR Capital, a private equity firm with activities in Western Europe. During his tenure at TDR, he was involved in both the deal side and investment management of several high profile buy-outs. Throughout his seven years at TDR, Mr. Tamberlin also played an active role in growing the firm.

In 2009 Layton Tamberlin moved from investment banking to the medical arena when he assumed the position of chairman of Samedaydoctor, a chain of private medical clinics offering an alternative to the primary care offered by the NHS, as the public increasingly demand better service from healthcare providers and the NHS fails to meet the need. The company currently offers services in eight locations across the UK. Mr. Tamberlin focuses on growing the company while preserving the high quality of medical services provided.

Mr. Tamberlin’s corporate finance boutique is Sullivan Street Partners, which he co-founded with Richard Sanders. Sullivan Partners focuses on advising promising UK companies  and sometimes taking stakes in lieu of fees. One such company is Baby Concierge, where Tamberlin serves as a director.

Having seen firsthand the challenges fa in lieced by his older brother who is severely autistic, Layton Tamberlin is firmly committed to organizations which offer support to adults with autism and their families.

Mr. Tamberlin, his wife and three children live in London.
